The most interesting place I ever visited was Okinawa, Japan. The island is what I would call the “Hawaii of Japan.” There are white-sand beaches, palm trees, and coral reefs. With the ocean being such an integral part of the culture, you can partake in many beach-oriented activities. You can scuba dive, jet ski, and kayak. Just driving up and down the coast can be an activity in and of itself because the scenery is so breathtaking.

Okinawa is home to many warm people who will take you in as one of their own. One of the biggest ways they will welcome you is with food. Dishes range from mouth-watering pork rib soup to savory goya champuru (an egg dish mixed with bitter melon). There is surely something to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

The crystal clear water and warm sun provide the perfect getaway for anyone who wants a relaxing vacation. Ancient castles and historic cultures also add to the island’s charm. It’s time to pack a swimsuit and some suntan lotion. Okinawa is a must-see for any world traveler.
